This notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit galactickontakt.world (including subpages).

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit, technically necessary connection data may be processed, including IP address, time of access, requested resource, referrer, and browser/device information. This is done to deliver and secure the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Local storage (language setting)

Your chosen language is stored in the browser via localStorage (key gk-lang). It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (usable presentation of the site).

4. Report form (“Report a problem”)

The “Report a problem” link opens a Google Forms form. Data you enter is processed by Google and delivered to us so we can handle technical or content reports. Required and optional fields are shown on the form.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling reports) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to pre-contractual or contractual steps.

5. External offers and links

This site may link to external offers, including:

• Shop partners (e.g. Etsy, Spreadshop) — checkout and payment happen there under their privacy notices and terms.
• Sources in the sightings tracker (reporting organisations and news) — when you open an original source, that provider’s rules apply.

Those providers are responsible for processing on their own sites.

6. No analytics / marketing tracking

We currently do not embed our own analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking tools. There is no cookie banner for optional tracking cookies because we do not set such cookies.

Technically necessary processing by the host remains as described in section 2.

7. Retention

Server logs and form messages are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can delete the language setting in your browser’s localStorage at any time.

8. Your rights

Where the legal conditions are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular where you live, work, or where the alleged infringement occurred. For North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), that is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of NRW.

9. Changes

This notice will be updated if the site, services, or legal requirements change.
